Is the Michael Jackson process shifting?
The trial of Michael Jackson's former personal physician could be postponed again
01/05/2011
Again threatens the process against the cardiologist and personal physician. Conrad Murray's deceased superstar Michael Jackson has another delay. Murry's lawyers have again requested a postponement of the trial day as they would need more time to prepare the trial. The actual process launch was scheduled for next Monday the 9th of May. Process observers suspect that soliciting two new witnesses who want to testify against the doctor may require more time for lawyers to invalidate the testimony. The witnesses were ordered by the prosecution.
Hearing determines process shift
Whether the process is postponed again is unclear. First, the presiding judge, Michael Pastors, has scheduled a hearing on Monday, May 2, to hear the lawyers' request from the Los Angeles district court. Both sides will put forward arguments. The prosecution does not see sufficient grounds for a renewed delay in the prelude.
Personal physician has to answer for negligent homicide
The former personal physician is currently responsible for the negligent killing of pop icon Michael Jackson. If it comes to a conviction on the charge, the physician awaits a prison sentence of up to four years. A revocation of the approval is also in the planning. The process has already been postponed from March 28 to May 9.
In June 2009, Michael Jackson died at the age of 50 years. The prosecution accuses the doctor, Michael Jackson administered the strong anesthetic propofol and then left the bedroom. This so far only confirmed circumstance does not deny the doctor. Finally, he left the room at the request of the deceased patient. In addition, the dosage administered would not have led to the death of Jackson, the lawyers Murray. The defenders argue that Michael Jackson himself presumably took an additional dose of the anesthetic to presumably commit suicide. The prosecution's representatives doubt that Jackson wanted to commit suicide. Finally, there are no sufficient indications for this.
Jackson was on medication for a long time
Long before the death of the rock star, the personal physician had given his patient the hypnotic for insomnia. However, the remedy is by no means conceived as a sleep aid, but is used only in medical interventions in the operating room everyday. According to numerous testimonies, Jackson had already taken the remedy over a longer period of time, so that there is a suspicion that it is not a possible overdose that is responsible for the demise, but the duration of taking the anesthetic.
Neglect of medical due diligence?
In addition, there are further indications that suggest a negligent homicide and a neglect of medical due diligence. According to the former bodyguard, on the night of death, the doctor had tried with only one hand to perform a cardiac pressure massage to resuscitate the collapsed patient. In addition, Jackson had been on a soft mattress during this. With the other hand, according to the witness, Murry had tried to pick up the drugs lying around, presumably destroying evidence. In addition, the cardiologist had waited more than 20 minutes after suspension of breathing until finally an ambulance was notified. At this time, any help was too late. (Sb)
