20/08/2012
Although tattoos are popular among adolescents, many of you may later regret it as a reckless youthful sin. The Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK) Nuremberg has carried out a representative survey on tattoos on behalf of the "Apotheken Umschau" and found that most people consider tattoos an ill-considered decision.
According to the "Apotheken Umschau" 84.5 percent of the respondents were convinced that people with tattoos have made no thought about the subsequent aging of the skin and the possible changes in the skin images. In addition, the current survey has found that around two-thirds of respondents find ridiculous tattoos on the elderly. Many may regret the decision to have a tattoo later in life.
Tattoos ridiculous in the elderly?
The aging and the associated changes in the skin or tattoos are, in the opinion of most Germans, not aware of the affected person when deciding on a tattoo. Especially since two-thirds of the population (66.1%) believe that tattoos on older people in general are more ridiculous and only suitable for young people. According to the results of the representative GfK survey, women are often of the same opinion. 71.3 percent of women can not find tattoos in the elderly. The men were 60.6 percent of the same opinion. 1,925 women and men from the age of 14 were surveyed by GfK Marktforschung.
Removal of tattoos expensive and painful
According to the results of the current survey, a tattoo should be thought through very carefully, taking into account aspects of skin aging and changing fashion tastes. Because a later removal of the tattoos is not only painful but also expensive. In addition, there are health risks that may arise in the long term from the use of toxic ingredients in the tattoo colors. (Fp)
