Czech Parliament decides to legalize cannabis in serious diseases

The Czech Parliament approved on Wednesday the legalization of cannabis for medical purposes. 67 of the 74 senators in the upper house approved the new regulation. According to this, cannabis may be prescribed by physicians for serious illnesses such as cancer, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's.
Initially, the cannabis will be imported from Israel or the Netherlands to the Czech Republic for one year. Thereafter, the government plans to award five-year breeder's leases in their own country.
German Bundestag votes on legalization of cannabis
