09/03/2015

Women's health is closely linked to the monthly cycle and hormonal, physiological, emotional and mental changes. Even minor disorders can be sensitive to the menstrual cycle and cause gynecological symptoms.

In the context of the second „Week of TCM“ From 16 to 22 March 2015, the Association for Classical Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (AGTCM) will provide information on the possibilities of treating pain in gynecological and other conditions. The theme week is actively organized with lectures and information days by the 1,600 alternative practitioners, physicians and non-medical practitioners organized by the AGTCM as well as by six cooperation schools.

Nationwide, there are numerous events for the treatment of gynecological complaints, fertility and birth preparation in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Gynecological conditions such as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea), depression or weight loss are common. Women often accept menstrual cramps as a regular condition until menopause. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), gynecological complaints focus on cycle regulation. It is achieved through a harmonization of qi and blood. Holistic differential diagnosis includes abdominal, pulse and tongue diagnostics as well as an accurate cycle analysis. „Only the knowledge of the causes gives us valuable information for the therapy,“ says Franziska Kohlmüller, alternative practitioner and TCM expert for gynecology.
