Study: TCM drugs effective for heart disease patients
Chinese scientists concluded that treatments with certain TCM medicines bring benefits to patients with heart disease.

The Chinese researchers analyzed randomized clinical trials investigating the effect of traditional TCM drugs on patients with CHD, heart failure, hypertension, dyslipidemia or diabetes.

They were able to confirm a positive influence on the investigated diseases for some drugs. Thus, the drugs Tiankuijiangya, Zhongfujiangya, Qiqilian, Jiangya and Jiangyabao had an antihypertensive effect. In patients with heart failure or CHD, significant reductions in death rates and cardiovascular events have been reported for some of the drugs. The study can be found here.
