Regular running prolongs life
According to a large-scale study of 55,000 Texas adults, daily walking on the order of five to ten minutes is as good for the health as it is three hours a week for intense jogging. The scientists published their findings in the latest issue of the journal „Journal of the American College of Cardiology“. The regular running short or long distances therefore extends the service life on average by three years compared to the non-runners.

Movement speed is not of great importance
As it turned out, the running speed was not very important either. For example, those who walk less than ten kilometers per hour are more likely to promote their health and fast joggers. Especially against cardiovascular diseases walking is beneficial.
