Hair cells in the inner ear, which convert sounds into electrical nerve impulses, get enough oxygen again with the help of appropriate medicines“, explains Dr. Walter. If the patient's hearing does not improve as a result of conventional measures, ENT specialists also rely on alternative treatment options such as acupuncture and vitamin administration.
If those affected get better after the therapy, it is important not to fall back into old patterns of behavior. Otherwise, the next sudden deafness will follow soon. ENT doctors recommend stress-stricken people to change their lifestyle permanently. Preferably, they preventively put in more recreational and relaxation phases in their everyday lives and reduce unnecessary pressure and other stressful factors.
