Scandal doctor left a cell phone in the patient's stomach
Jordanian Hanan Mahmoud Abdul Karim experienced something truly incredible. When she gave birth to her first child by caesarean section in April 2015, a serious medical error occurred. "It looked like a cell phone," one of the doctors said.
The patient underwent immediate surgery. During the operation confirmed the incredible suspicion. "It was actually a smartphone". During the cesarean section, apparently one of the doctors had left the cell phone in the patient's stomach. "How can this happen?" The doctors ask themselves. The injured party now wants to initiate proceedings against the responsible doctor.
Not an isolated case
Again and again, such incredible treatment errors happen. Thus, an Australian patient lived for 15 years with severe abdominal pain and constant fever: A doctor had forgotten during surgery a large sponge in the abdominal cavity. Now the injured party sued her former surgeon for damages. He said only, "the operation was far too long ago." That could not be.
