Tips and home remedies for self-treatment of heartburn by reflux
By simple means, heartburn can be successfully reduced or avoided by reflux. Instead of eating a few large portions of food, frequent small meals should be taken. Spicy, high-fat, fried, fried, very sour foods, as well as products made from white industrial sugar and flour, should be largely avoided because they overly stimulate gastric acid production. Many people also know which meals are incompatible and should avoid them. Alcohol, caffeine, tobacco and carbonated and ice-cold drinks are poorly tolerated because they irritate the stomach and thus usually aggravate the symptoms. After eating, make sure you have a light motion. Great exertion, stooping, squeezing and lying flatness increase the reflux of acid into the esophagus. For the same reason, it can be helpful to sleep at night with your upper body slightly high. Before going to sleep (about 1-3 hours) nothing should be eaten.

Naturopathy can help with heartburn. A tea mixture e.g. made from calamus root (20g), yarrow (20g) and peppermint (10g), etc. Stimulates the stomach muscles and accelerates gastric emptying. Infusions of chamomile flowers and juniper berries have a soothing and soothing effect, although the latter are not suitable for treatment during pregnancy.
Healing clay (e.g., Luvos or Bullrich´s) is stirred in water or as a capsule reduces the amount of acid chemically-physically: The finely ground loess grains have a large surface area, which binds and absorbs toxins. The natural minerals and trace elements also neutralize excess stomach acid.

In case of acid regurgitation, minerals can help according to Schüßler, especially the Schüßler salt No. 9 (sodium phos.).
