Welding foot plant. June smelling kid plant
Just a delicate lavender scent of the nose flatters and mixes with that of roses and fresh mint. The thoughts float away with the scent of it, screwing themselves up in the sky until cloud seven. But suddenly a bad smell destroys the sweet dreams. Sweaty feet! Disgusting.
Nobody expects this smell when he sniffs curiously at different plants. They are better known for offering pleasant fragrance experiences. Not so the sweaty plant that lives up to its name. Their otherwise inconspicuous flowers exude the strange smell from about May to July.
In seed and plant catalogs that is often not mentioned and the plant euphemistically presented with its second name "Goldbaldrian". At best, a careful "unusual fragrance" can be found in English catalogs. Apparently, the smell is not a selling point. What a pity, because that makes the plant interesting. Children will probably come up with a lot of pranks that others can play with this plant. Reason enough to present her here as the Children's Plant of the Month June.
Who wants to bring the surprising plant in his garden, needs little gardening skills. Goldbaldrian is satisfied with normal garden soil and grows in both sunny and partially shaded places. (Anne Staeves, aid)
