S3 guideline Clinical nutrition in oncology appeared

The S3 guideline "Clinical nutrition in oncology" of the German Society for Nutritional Medicine e. V. (DGEM) was published in October. It contains 48 recommendations on clinical nutrition in oncology.

The guideline is intended to provide evidence-based recommendations for the detection and possibly multimodal treatment of nutritional and metabolic disorders in cancer patients. It contains 48 recommendations on clinical nutrition in oncology. The recommendations are explained in detail.

The guideline of the German Society for Nutritional Medicine e.V. (DGEM) was developed in cooperation with the German Society for Hematology and Oncology e. V. (DGHO), the working group "Supportive Measures in Oncology, Rehabilitation and Social Medicine" of the German Cancer Society (ASORS) and the Austrian Association for Clinical Nutrition (AKE).
