Russia: Selfie abandonment protects against lice
28/10/2014
A consumer protection agency in Russia warns children and adolescents from taking selfies as it spreads head lice. The warning is getting a lot of ridicule internationally.
Selfie waiver as lice prevention
According to a Russian authority, people who frequently take selfies with others risk the transmission of head lice. As reported by several media, a guide to lice prevention on the website of the protection of consumers in the Kursk region states: „According to experts, the cause of lice spreading is the increase in selfie photographs.“ Thus, the parasites would crawl from one head to the other, if the people put together for the most with the phone snapped photo.
Prime Minister should be warned
Internationally, the warning is getting a lot of ridicule. Among other things, Internet users pointed out fun that even Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev must be urgently warned. The ex-president is known for making self-portraits. Basically, it should be noted that head lice actually crawl from head to head and are therefore often spread among children who frequently stick their heads together when playing together. So, if you notice a headache in Russia after taking a selfie with other people, check your scalp and, if in doubt, use home remedies for lice. (Ad)
