The dairy Rücker from Niedersachsen recalls cheese salad cubes nationwide. In the case of the product, glass fragments may break off when the glass is opened. Shards may cause dangerous injuries when ingested.


Goods recall for salad cubes in oil
The dairy Rücker GmbH from Aurich (Lower Saxony) recalls cheese products throughout Germany because of the risk of glass splinters. Affected by the recall are "RÜCKER Waterkant salad cubes in oil with herbs" with the best before dates: 27.12.2017 and 01.01.2018 as well as "RÜCKER Waterkant salad cubes in oil with herbs and olives" with the expiration dates: 26.12.2017 and 01.01.2018.

Broken glass can cause serious injury
"A routine quality control detected a material defect that could cause glass splinters to break off when the glass is opened," the company writes in a statement.

Customers who have purchased the corresponding product can return it for a refund of the purchase price without presenting the receipt in their shops.

Other products of Rücker GmbH are not affected.

Foods that could contain broken glass or broken glass should generally not be consumed. Otherwise they could lead to serious injuries in the mouth and throat or even to internal injuries. (Ad)
