Most people find it very difficult to lose excess pounds. Some then resort to sometimes extreme methods that still bring nothing. A young woman from the USA has decided to lose weight. Within about one and a half years she has halved her body weight.
Extreme methods often do nothing
People who want to lose weight often try this with a variety of methods. For a while, some abstain from carbohydrates, others from fat and some try to eat almost nothing. However, there are scientists who think that such diets bring almost nothing. That you do not necessarily have to resort to extreme methods to lose weight, the US-American Kassidy Linde experienced first-hand. She halved her body weight within a year and a half - with some very simple rules.

Constantly consume fewer calories
The dispute over whether less fat or fewer carbohydrates is suitable for losing weight fast has been going on for years.
In scientific studies, it is repeatedly shown that low-carb performs better than low-fat. However, if such a diet is too extreme, health can be harmed.

It also took some time for Kassidy Linde from Cheyenne, Wyoming, to reach her destination. Her success, however, shows how productive her method was: within about one and a half years, she halved her weight.
Body weight halved
The 25-year-old reduced her body weight from almost 120 to about 60 kilos. According to a report in the British newspaper Daily Mail, she had already gained so much after leaving high school that she felt "sad, ashamed, depressed, ugly and insecure".
During her pregnancy, the inconvenience became so severe that she said she would start losing weight after giving birth.
In fact, she then tried all sorts of diets, but now she's just focusing on healthy eating.
"The most important piece of advice I can give about eating is to eat only healthy," says the young woman.
In her posts on social media and newspapers, the mother of a young daughter revealed the simple rules she used to achieve her incredible weight loss.
Drink plenty of water
What not only Kassidy Linde knows: drinking water helps her lose weight. She has forsworn sugar-containing soft drinks and co and drinks about two to three liters of water a day.
Another rule: Never count calories. According to her, the young woman has simply changed her diet and is eating mostly healthy today. She does not pay attention to the amount of calories, but only to her satiety.
Of complicated diets, the American holds little. It relies on healthy, low-calorie products such as chicken, tuna, vegetables and whole grains.
Everything needs it's time
To keep up with her healthy eating schedule even on busy workdays, Kassidy prepares her meals in advance on certain days. So she can stay true to her nutritional plan even on days when she does not have time to cook.
Of course, sport is also helpful in losing weight. Kassidy goes to the gym five times a week to work out.
She pointed out that one has to "trust the process and be patient, it will not happen overnight, because everything takes time," including weight reduction.
Her self has helped her own reflection to motivate herself again and again. It therefore recommends documenting the weight loss process. Kassidy regularly posted photos of herself on Instagram and Facebook.
