The University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein has opened a new center for the treatment of accident victims in Lübeck. In specialized institution with the name „Trauma Center North“ different specialist clinics and institutes of the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein work together. This should ensure interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary cooperation. As the chairman of the board Jens Scholz said, a cooperation of the different professional competences is indispensable especially with the therapy of trauma patients. "Especially the care of the seriously injured and the multiple injured requires a great deal of cooperation and networking between the individual disciplines, as it is now practiced in the Trauma Center“, said the Schleswig-Holstein Minister of Science Jost de Jager at the opening on Thursday. A total of 22 clinics and specialist institutes should ensure optimal care for seriously injured patients.
