False doctor treated seriously ill children without a license
Already since September last year, the man is in custody. The 31-year-old had titles like „Dr. med. univ. Mag. Psych. "and thus fooled around 15 families with seriously ill children into being a doctor, he even founded a children's hospice association and calculated his services with the health insurance companies, resulting in a financial loss of more than 11,300 Euros for the AOK Niedersachsen Further bills in the amount of almost 5,200 euros, which put the wrong doctor to the health insurance, dismissed the AOK however.
The man from Halberstadt, Saxony-Anhalt, declared in a donation campaign for the children's hospice association in Hanover that he had already managed a hospice in Switzerland. Apparently nobody drew suspicion because he speaks with a Swiss accent.
The trial of the 31-year-old began in March, but had to be suspended due to a change of defenses. In total, the prosecution has collected 64 offenses, which she puts the wrong doctor to the charge. Among other things, he is said to have treated many patients psychologically. At least in the case of a patient, he did an infusion and provided wounds. Whether and to what extent the patients were harmed as a result of this is not known.
At today's appointment before the district court Hanover he confessed that he should not have treated the boy in need of care with the emergency drug because he was missing for the admission. Earlier, there had been discussions with those involved in the process, which led to the termination of all fraud charges. The 31-year-old is to be sentenced to a total custodial sentence of a maximum of three years and three months for his offense. The verdict is expected for the 2nd of July.
