Probably nothing is so much associated with German cuisine as potatoes. The popular tuber fruit is not only suitable for delicious recipes, but it can also produce natural paste.

Natural paste for the home improvement
Potatoes are always in stock in almost every German household. This can also be useful if the hardware store has already closed, but adhesive is missing for home improvement purposes. Potato starch is not only nutritious, but you can also make paste from it. It is also often a component of natural play dough for children. In a message from the dpa news agency, the German Potato Trade Association (DKHV) explains how to make glue in four steps using tubers:

To glue in four steps
First you have to peel the tuber and rub it in a bowl and then mix it with some water to a pulp. In the second step, pour the mass into a tea towel and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Now let the juice simmer for about an hour until a white set forms on the bottom: the potato starch. Then drain the juice until only the starch is left. In step 3, add the starch and half a cup of water to a saucepan. While the whole thing is heated, it must be stirred constantly until the mass finally thickens. Then follow step 4: Allow the paste to cool and ideally store in a screw-top jar. (Ad)
