In the past year, doctors from the Saarland have demonstrably made a mistake in the treatment of patients. This is according to a message from the news agency dpa, according to a list, which was presented by the Medical Association of Saarland on Monday in Saarbrücken. Accordingly, 121 applications were submitted to the appraisal and arbitration board of the State Medical Association to investigate alleged treatment errors. In 2013 there had been 149 applications. Chamber President Josef Mischo said: "Although there will never be a completely flawless medical treatment, any case of damage must be reason for us to do something better, because behind every case in the statistics is a fate." Overall, there was in the Saar last year almost eight million cases of treatment.
