Girl hospitalized for herbal cigarettes smoking

Girl hospitalized for herbal cigarettes smoking / Health News
In a small town in Baden-Wuerttemberg on Thursday some young girls noticed that made a drunken impression. Two of them had to be taken to a hospital. The two had apparently smoked cigarettes with a herbal mixture.

Drugs camouflaged as herbal mixtures
Two underage girls became so intoxicated with herbal cigarettes that they ended up in a hospital, according to a news agency dpa. The 13 and 14-year-old adolescents had probably taken art drugs in the Baden-Württemberg Öhringen (Hohenlohekreis). The so-called "legal highs" are drugs disguised as herbal mixtures, bath salts or air fresheners. Experts consider this to be very dangerous because of the unpredictable effect.

Substances can be dangerous
One problem is, among other things, that consumers are often unaware of the composition. Some of the substances can cause discomfort such as nausea and vomiting, excessive sweating, palpitations or hallucinations. Depending on the content, there is also the danger of suffering a fainting fit or fainting. And in the worst case even threatens a heart attack. Because of a legal loophole, not all of these drugs are banned. So far, there is little information about the dangers of such substances. One of the few exceptions is the website "Drugcom.de" of the Federal Center for Health Education (BzgA), which informs about the effects and risks of the new drugs.
A girl could hardly move
According to police, a passerby in the said place had noticed some girls who made a drunken impression. The summoned officials met a group of students between the ages of 13 and 15 years. In a press release, the police write: "A 13-year-old was unresponsive and could hardly move, her 14-year-old girlfriend was also in a much intoxicated state. As it turns out, the two had previously smoked a cigarette with a herbal mixture. "The two consumers were taken to a hospital after the incident. (Ad)
