Love The longer the relationship, the darker our bedroom becomes
"Light on": Normally it is said that the right lighting helps to put something perfectly in scene. But what about lovers' bedrooms? If the light stays on or only darkness in the room creates the right atmosphere for moments of intimate togetherness? The longer a relationship lasts, the darker it gets in the bedroom. Is it the missing romance? (Image: vgstudio / fotolia.com)
The online medical practice DrEd (DrEd.com) has asked in a study of 1,000 people from Europe and America, how they handle the lighting in a "romantic tête-à-tête". The result: While the majority of singles lit the light in the love game (54 percent), are married couples only 43 percent. With the relationship status so apparently the preference for sex in the dark increases. Practical for all "Lichtscheuen" that especially the winter has many dark hours to offer.
By the way: According to experts too much and too bright light in the evening can have a negative effect on the natural sleep-wake cycle. Artificial light in the dark often lasts longer. Therefore, for cozy evenings and romantic nights recommend indirect, warm white light sources. Maybe one more reason for the dark bedroom.
