Öko-Test has examined a total of 22 body and face baby creams from drugstores, natural stores and supermarkets. Basically his creams for baby skin away from the diaper area rarely needed. Anyone who still uses creams, should know if the product contains problematic ingredients.

Only in May this year, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) warned against potentially carcinogenic aromatic petroleum hydrocarbons in cosmetic products. You can hide behind names like paraffin or Cera microcristallina. The testers of Ökotest looked for problematic preservatives such as formaldehyde, allergenic fragrances and aluminum.

The result: 16 tested products recommends Öko-Test with a "very good" test result, 2 with "good". Two other products rated "satisfactory", one each with "sufficient" and "poor". Some of the creams were loaded with aromatic petroleum hydrocarbons. (Pm)
