Beware of children's clothing that does not contain a TÜV seal. Many products may contain chemical additives that can trigger allergies. Naturopathic experts, however, rely on organic clothing without chemical pollutants.

If parents prefer the price, they put up with a health risk for the children. But how can one check whether the children's clothing contains substances that could harm the children's health? TÜV Rheinland gives a simple and meaningful hint for this. Parents should pay attention to the TÜV seal "Toxproof" - this seal guarantees that the burden of pollutants in the lower range of statutory requirements. Also for Lederbekeidung there is a TÜV mark called "SG-mark" (SG = tested for harmful substances). As the TÜV announced, the tested goods contain, for example, no carcinogenic substances. After purchasing, the experts recommend that you first wash your clothes hot before wearing them for the first time.

Parents should rather put on organic clothing.
Heilpraxisnet.de recommends, however, to use clothes that have no pollutant additives. Environmentalists, scientists and naturopathic experts have been warning for some time that the regulations on harmful substances in clothing, food and other products are often not met or that the maximum levels are far too low. The advantage of organic clothing: Organic tested clothing contains no artificial fibers, but 100 percent natural substances.

But can you find such a pollution-free clothing? Organic clothes can be found in many health food stores. There are now well over a hundred specialized organic food stores in Germany. The cultivation of the raw materials must be done without pesticide treatment. The most commonly used fabrics for "organic clothing" are cotton, hemp, jute, bamboo fibers and cork. Organic clothing is biologically compatible, free of toxins and chemical coloring. In addition, care is taken in the manufacture of the clothing that the workers receive a fair wage and live under environmentally friendly working conditions.
