Children respond well to Chinese medicine
Chinese medicine relies on treatment without medication

Asthma, atopic dermatitis, rheumatism, migraine - unfortunately, not even the youngest are spared from these diseases. For example, it is estimated that around 16,000 children throughout Germany suffer from rheumatic complaints. Two million are even at eczema and four percent of schoolchildren regularly suffer from migraine attacks. For parents a difficult situation, which not only demands physical and mental strength, but is also marked by worries, fears and fears: Which is the right therapy? Does the benefit of the medication outweigh the side effects? But even with typical childhood illnesses such as colds, ear infections but also measles or chickenpox, many parents are asking themselves about the gift of medication. According to the findings of Chinese medicine, both sometimes come together: the premature administration of drugs can promote the development of chronic diseases.
„The organism learns in childhood to deal with pathogenic influences. That is why it is important for children to fully experience infections“, explains Dr. Christian Schmincke, TCM expert and head of the clinic at the Steigerwald. „Frequently, the course is set in childhood, which can later lead to serious diseases.“ Using the example of the pediatric rheumatism, the perspective of Chinese medicine is particularly well presented. Often TCM doctors determine that the rheumatic children had severe infections in early childhood, which eventually stopped suddenly. „Mostly accompanied by an infectious final chord, rheumatism often started at the same time. The body has, so to speak, satisfied its inflammatory needs in the joints and no longer needs the nasal mucosa“, describes Dr. Schmincke. The inflammations have been looking for other valves, so to speak. Who suppresses colds with drugs, favors this process. Chinese medicine treats affected children with Chinese medicines so that their mucous membranes are reactivated. Often the children then get severe colds. „When these are very productive, rheumatism often disappears without leaving any residue“, supplements Dr. Schmincke. „Especially children respond well to the Chinese medicines. If rheumatism has been treated with immune blockers for 20 years, it is much more difficult.“ It is also similar in atopic dermatitis. „The treatment of atopic dermatitis often focuses on the administration of medicines that channel old inflammatory products out of the body“, emphasizes Schmincke. Under the treatment, the little body again seeks healthy ways for the discharge, for example via the nasal and intestinal mucosa, not the wrong on the skin.
In addition to the treatment with Chinese medicines, depending on the clinical picture, China medicine also focuses on acupuncture, nutritional changes and body therapies. The same for all children is the recommendation for natural exercise: „For example, regular outdoor exercise, for example, casually trains the immune system, prevents chronic illnesses in children, and helps to calm the mind“, concludes Dr. Schmincke.
