Germ sausage also delivered to Schleswig-Holstein
Danish delicatessen company has also sold to Germany
08/15/2014
Contaminated sausage in Schleswig-Holstein? As the Kiel Ministry of Agriculture currently reports, the Danish company has „Jørn A. Rullepølser A / S“ apparently also a business on the German-Danish border with their goods supplies. The delicatessen company had sold sausages contaminated with Listeria, causing twelve people to die in Denmark in recent months.
So far, it is still unclear whether contaminated products were there
The Danish delicatessen company „Jørn A. Rullepølser A / S“ apparently also has its goods referred to a so-called on Danish goods „Grenzshop“ in the district of Schleswig-Flensburg, directly on the German-Danish border, sold. This was announced yesterday by the Ministry of Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas of Schleswig-Holstein. However, it was not yet clear whether the delivery included contaminated products. As announced earlier this week, the company had sold sausages contaminated with Listeria in Denmark - after which twelve people had died of bacterial infection within 30 days.
Harrislee was supplied with four products at the end of May
As the Ministry further informs, four products of the company („Kogt skinke i skiver“, „Hamburgerryg i skiver“, „Sdj. Spegepølse i skiver“ and „Kogt rullepølse i skiver“) was delivered to the Harrislee plant on May 23, 2014 and completely sold between May 24, 2014 and June 21, 2014. The best before date was three products on June 19 and one on July 6. Consumers who still have such products at home should therefore not consume them as a precaution - but instead destroy or return to the affected business. Persons who have already eaten Danish meat products and have flu-like symptoms such as fever, chills or body aches or diarrhea and severe abdominal pain should consult their doctor on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health. Because only then can be quickly clarified whether a listeriosis infection is present and which treatment is the right one in each case. (No)
