The food retail chain Kaufland recalls sour cherries. According to company information can not be ruled out that in individual glasses shards are, which could lead to injury when consumed.

Kaufland department store chain announces on its website that it calls "for reasons of preventive consumer protection" sour cherries in the glass. Affected by the recall is therefore the product K-Classic sour cherries, pitted, sugared, capacity: 680 g, drained weight: 350 g, EAN 4300175162883 with the best before date / batch: 04.07.2019 ES221 and the supplier number: LFN: 35291.
Shards in individual glasses possible
"It can not be completely ruled out that in individual glasses of the product mentioned are broken glass, which can lead to injury when consumed," the company writes.
It is stated that the best before date is printed on the lid and the LFN number is on the label below the nutritional table.
Kaufland has already withdrawn the product concerned from the sale. The product can also be returned without presentation of the receipt for reimbursement of the purchase price.
