In the Bavarian Schweinfurt two 16-year-old students smoked a herbal mixture on the school toilet. They became so ill afterwards that they ended up in intensive care. Health experts and authorities repeatedly warn against the dangers of legal drugs, so-called legal highs.

According to the statement, the two students had locked themselves in a toilet. It is said that they had also vomited in it and did not open the door. The responsible of the school then set off an emergency call. After the toilet cubicle was opened by the officials, the two 16-year-olds, who were visibly ill, were first treated by an ambulance and then admitted to a clinic. Although an acute danger to life could be excluded, the two adolescents had to be treated further in the intensive care unit.
Legal drugs from the internet shop
The police reported that both had smoked a herbal mixture. Remains of the substance were secured by the officials. According to the current state of investigation, the "Legal Highs" were ordered in an Internet shop. Experts repeatedly point to the dangerous side effects of legal drugs. Depending on the composition, they can cause discomfort such as nausea and vomiting, sweating, palpitations or hallucinations. Some also run the risk of suffering a fainting or fainting. In Schweinfurt the police had to become active only recently because of herbal mixtures.
