Almost every person knows this phenomenon: the heart stumbles and does not beat in time. After a few seconds, the clock is regulated and the heart beats back to normal. Most people, however, fear cardiac arrhythmias, they fear a serious background disease. In contrast to this fear, it should be noted that many cardiac arrhythmias are medically unproven, which means that stumbling around can be quite normal. However, arrhythmias can also be a sign of serious heart disease. Often cardiac arrhythmias are also a consequence of previous diseases such as myocardial infarction.
The German Heart Foundation is currently organizing information events in several cities in Germany under the motto: „Out of rhythm: cardiac arrhythmia.“ The purpose of the information evenings is to inform about cardiac arrhythmias in order to reduce any fears and to offer background information to those affected.
For this reason, in Hessian Lauterbach on 18 November, an information evening with chief physician Dr. med. Jürgen Wilhelm and specialist Dr. med. Markus Schoppet. Both specialists inform about the current status of research, therapy and diagnostics. "Cardiac arrhythmias can be harmless, less harmless or life threatening," Dr. Wilhelm, Chief Physician of the Medical Center Eichhof in Lauterbach. "To make the diagnosis early and accurately classify only an internist or cardiologist." After the talk, guests have the opportunity to ask questions.
