Homeopathy in Austria very popular

More than half of all Austrians used homeopathic medicines in 2014. This is shown by a recent study by the Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung (GfK). 59 percent of respondents said that they have great confidence in homeopathy, 71 percent believe that homeopathic medicines are effective. Professor Michael Frass, specialist for internal medicine and intensive care medicine in Vienna, said at the presentation of the survey: "The good effectiveness of homeopathy is subjectively perceptible and also proven in large systematic reviews and meta-analyzes."

According to Prof. Frass, many skeptics who continue to discredit homeopathy despite the good data available, "lack a scientific and / or medical education and sufficient knowledge of homeopathy". His conclusion: "Ideological approaches are not very helpful in the evaluation of a medical method. Numerous large studies with thousands of patients prove the benefits of homeopathy. In order to assess their effectiveness for themselves, it is best to try them out personally.
