08/22/2014
After the first year allegations against the heart center of Lake Constance last year because of allegedly incorrect statements, a non-licensed physician and the use of unauthorized heart valves were loud, the investigations have led at least in the charge for the doctor without authorization to no result. The prosecutor's office has now their investigations on this point because „low debt“ adjusted.
Furthermore, the allegations of the „Import of unauthorized heart valves“ and of „Withholding and misappropriation of pay“, so the message of the public prosecutor Konstanz. The investigations have shown that the lack of the license to practice was not due to deficiencies in the professional qualifications of the doctor, but only the application for approval was neglected. The accused had relied on a German / Swiss agreement dating from 1884, which allowed doctors in neighboring areas to work in the neighboring country. However, the applicability of the scheme is controversial. However, the doctor concerned was also in possession of a Swiss license to practice the medical profession. A threat to patients was not apparent in the view of the prosecutor.
Although the heart center Bodensee was relieved in the first point, but the investigations in the other allegations will probably drag on for a longer period. By the end of the year, the proceedings will probably be completed, according to the prosecutors' statement. (Fp)
