Recall for various toast bread varieties

Both the Glockenbrot bakery and the food discounter Penny provide information on their websites about the current product recall.

The communication states: "Due to a technical defect, plastic foreign bodies may have gotten into the following Glockenbrot bakery products."

Affected are the listed products with the best before date 25.01.2018 A011 and 25.01.2018 B011:

- 3 ears of buttered bread 500g (PENNY)
- 3 ears of wholegrain bread 500g (PENNY)
- Yes! Three wheat toast bread 500g
- REWE Best Choice Buttered Toast 250g and 500g
- REWE Best Choice Whole Grain Toast 250g and 500g
- REWE Best choice rye toast bread 250g and 500g
- REWE organic whole wheat toast bread 250g and 500g

Furthermore, the following articles are concerned with the best before dates 24.01.2018 A010, 24.01.2018 B010, 25.01.2018 A011 and 25.01.2018 B011:

"The company strongly advises against the consumption of the above-mentioned products," says the statement. And further: "Customers can return these in the respective market and get the sales price refunded."

According to the Glockenbrot bakery, the affected products were taken out of the sale.
