As the "dpa" tells, the woman is accused of stabbing her son several times in September 2015 with a kitchen knife when he slept in his cot. The crime occurred in Schneeberg in the district of Miltenberg. The husband had found his wife and son together. The child had suffered numerous cuts and punctures on the neck and chest due to the attack and eventually died as a result of the blood loss. The woman also had life-threatening injuries, which she apparently had done herself after the fact.
