A total of nine Berlin restaurants were searched on Tuesday by inspectors of the restaurant supervision of the district office Berlin center and the police. The affected restaurants were all on Soldiner Straße and Koloniestraße. A restaurant had to be closed immediately due to extreme hygiene deficiencies.
In the large-scale control of the nine restaurants, the inspectors numerous violations became apparent. At a restaurant on Soldiner Straße, flagrant violations of legal hygiene standards were identified. As evidence, the rotary skewer was seized by the police, as a spokesman said. A bar in the Koloniestraße had to be closed immediately, because the local health conditions were no longer responsible for the health officials.
In another restaurant, the police met a 37-year-old man wanted by a warrant. The victim was immediately handed over to the judicial authorities. Not a single bar seemed to have failed. According to the district office, it was above all violations of the non-smoking and youth protection laws. Some restaurants did not comply with food hygiene regulations. A total of ten administrative offenses, 11 administrative fines and one preliminary investigation were initiated. With the action of the district office hygiene deficiencies should be revealed and punished immediately. (Sb)
