Health Such drinks better not drink in front of sports
Performance Impairment: Why Certain Drinks Are Not Good Before Exercising
Those who practice sports regularly, keep themselves fit, slim and healthy. It is also important to drink enough to compensate for the fluid loss through sweating again. What many do not know: some drinks may affect performance if consumed before exercise.
Balance fluid loss
If you want to stay fit and / or reduce your weight, you should be active in sports. Because to reduce belly fat, it is also necessary to move regularly. Endurance sports are particularly well suited here. If you move a lot, you should always drink enough to make up for the fluid loss caused by sweating. Some drinks are not so well suited for that.

During exercise, the body loses by sweating larger amounts of fluid that must be re-supplied promptly to avoid health problems.
"However, athletes should by no means take huge amounts of fluids, as this can cause further problems in the worst case," said the renowned sports physician Prof. Dr. med. Ingo Froböse of the German Sport University Cologne according to a report of the internet portal "Lampis".
"Scientifically proven, the body can process and use a maximum of 0.8 to 1.0 liters of liquid per hour. The intake should be done in small portions and swallowing. It is strongly advised not to drink larger quantities in a short time, "explained the expert.
Too much fluid can unbalance the ratio of water and salts in the body. This could lead to cardiac arrhythmia according to health experts and the function of the kidneys could be impaired.
Better refrain from certain drinks before exercise
But that does not mean being too frugal with drinking. However, it is also important to rely on the right selection. Because some - even supposedly healthy - drinks can affect the performance, if they are consumed before training.
For example, it is better to avoid using carbonated water before exercise, as carbonic acid pollutes the stomach and can cause flatulence.
Also not rich before the sport are milk drinks. Although milk is considered healthy, but drank before training, it ensures that the organism must expend energy for digestion. Moreover, it does not bring its effect to advantage.
Because the body takes a while to extract the contained important nutrients from the milk. For example, if you take a milk protein shake just before you start your sport, the energy you need will not be available in time for training.
What and how much should we drink??
That unhealthy drinks such as cola before and during sports to seek anything, should be generally clear. But even from special sports or isotonic drinks is not recommended.
Although these provide for a proper energy kick and short-term refreshment in sports at the beginning of training, they contain clearly too much sugar and are therefore not good for your health.
But what and how much should we drink?
"As a rule of thumb, two to three liters a day, which should not be undercut if possible," said Prof. Froböse. In case of intensive stress, the demand naturally increases. And: "The daily fluid requirement also depends on the body weight."
It is also important that the drinks, such as water or unsweetened teas, are not too cold as otherwise the body needs to expend extra energy to warm them up. (Ad)
