Health experts Tips and tricks let people live longer
Of course, in order to do something good for your health, you should not smoke, move regularly, eat a well-balanced diet and avoid too much alcohol. But there are many more measures that can help to live healthier lives. Here are some tips.
Simple measures that serve the health
Give up smoking, drink less alcohol, lose a few pounds, eat more balanced, avoid stress, do more exercise: most people know how to make their lives healthier. Often there is a lack of determination. After all, after a hard day's work, it's not easy to get into a jogging session or keep your hands off treats. But even then, there are some measures to help you become healthier and fitter.
Overcome the inner bastard
Everyone wants to live healthier lives. But to reach the inner pig, not everyone succeeds.
The Techniker Krankenkasse (TK) has in the past given various suggestions for improved motivation for a healthy life and pointed out that self-motivation is the most important prerequisite for long-term and above all sustainable change.
In addition to the basic measures for a healthy life - quitting smoking, regular exercise, avoiding obesity - there are other tricks that can be easily integrated into everyday life.
Judge by the internal clock
Sleep is of the utmost importance to health: according to health experts, adults between the ages of 18 and 64 should sleep seven to nine hours.
But in some people, fatigue may not pass despite a long night's sleep.
This may also be due to the "wrong" bedtime. According to experts, it is best to listen to the internal clock and go to bed when you are tired.
If you have problems falling asleep, you should try relaxing walks before going to sleep.
Relaxation techniques such as autogenic training or progressive muscle relaxation can also be effective.
Healthy showering
Another healthy measure that can be easily integrated into everyday life: Cold showering. This stimulates the circulation and strengthens the immune system.
The positive effects have also been confirmed in scientific studies. For example, it was found that people who take a cold shower regularly report sick less frequently.
Whether with cold or warm water: Some people now swear by "no-poo". This trend from the US dispenses with shampoo, since the body shed the body's own fats through the shampoo, which causes the skin to dry out and the natural protection against germs is impaired.
Dehydration of the skin is one of the reasons why you should not shower or shower too often. Who does this anyway, should prefer to use shower oil instead of shower gel, as these are moisturizing and usually milder to the skin.
To wash your hands, it is best to use curd soap. Whether the water is cold or warm does not matter.
It makes no sense to resort to antibacterial soaps. These are, according to experts, not efficient and sometimes even harmful, because they can make the skin permeable to pathogens.
Moderate during coffee consumption
It is also unhealthy to drink too much coffee. And unfortunately that's way too much German. Those who consume large amounts of the popular hot drink increase their risk of high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease.
Moderate coffee consumption, on the other hand, provides health benefits, according to scientific research.
Moderate means drinking no more than three cups throughout the day.
However, you should drink considerably more water. Many experts advise here to a two-liter water daily ration, but the amount actually required depends, among other things, on the physical activity, what temperatures prevail and how much you sweat.
To get enough liquid, you should always have a drink nearby: put a glass of water at your desk and on the bedside table and always bring a bottle of water with you when you're out and about.
As a thirst quencher in addition to tap and mineral water unsweetened herbal and fruit teas and diluted with water fruit juices are suitable. These also provide vitamins and minerals.
Balanced and healthy feed
In order to stay healthy and fit, one must first of all also eat a balanced diet. A few little tricks can increase your appetite for healthy foods.
To get the recommended five to ten servings of fruits and vegetables per day, it can help to incorporate a colorful vegetable mix as a daily supplement into the meal plan.
So fit for breakfast a few cucumber slices on the plate, in between a few carrot sticks as a snack, at lunch a delicious salad and in the evening maybe a vegetarian vegetable soup.
Important to know: Irregular eating makes us fat. Nutrition experts advise three large main meals per day, which should be enough to eat. In between, the body is given four to five hours break, which it needs to digest.
Anyone who still gets food cravings in between, prefers to eat vegetables and fruits instead of chips and co. (Ad)
