Why you should not throw away the liquid on the yogurt
A delicious breakfast without fresh yoghurt is unthinkable for many people. If only there were not the white liquid on top. Some just throw it away. But they miss valuable ingredients.


Do not spill liquid on yoghurt
For many, yogurt is part of their daily diet. The milk product is wholesome, easily digestible and has a positive effect on the intestinal flora due to the sour milk bacteria it contains. In addition, scientific research has found that yogurt protects against diabetes and, at least in women, can reduce the risk of high blood pressure. Also in the white liquid, which forms on the milk product, there is health-promoting potential. It should therefore not be thrown away.

Whey with valuable ingredients
There are people pouring the liquid out of disgust, others stir it into the yoghurt. The latter is the better choice. Because the milky solution is milk serum or whey and contains very valuable ingredients.

It contains high quality protein, milk sugar (lactose), minerals and water soluble vitamins B1, B2, B6, pantothenic acid, biotin and B12.

The high potassium and low sodium content as well as the high iodine content of the whey are health benefits.

In addition, the liquid has significantly fewer calories than milk. The fat content is also significantly lower. In any case, it is better to stir the liquid into the yoghurt than to pour it off. (Ad)
