An Argentinian, who was not satisfied with her breasts, splashed herself Vaseline in her breasts. As a result, she often had breathing problems and finally died of a severe bruise in her lungs.

Argentinean injected Vaseline for the purpose of breast augmentation
As various international media reported, the 39-year-old Argentine Sonia Perez L. was a fun-loving woman, but not really satisfied with her chest. Seemingly to save the cost of a costly procedure, she decided to do a kind of self-op and inject Vaseline into her breasts to enlarge them. A short time later, the amateur runner often got a breathing problem and finally went to a hospital. Doctors found there a blood clot in the lungs that had formed since Vaseline had entered the bloodstream.

Body can not fight Vaseline
Julio Pla, head of surgery at the hospital, told the Argentine newspaper „La Capital“: „She initially denied everything, but then admitted to injecting Vaseline.“ He further said: „I have never seen a case like this. The body has produced antibodies against bacteria and viruses, but found no way against the substance.“ The woman finally died of a severe bruise in the lungs. The English newspaper „Mirror“ quoted Dr. Lucio Molas, the doctor who treated the 39-year-old at her admission: „The body can fight viruses and bacteria. A substance like Vaseline but not.“

Cosmetic surgery not medically necessary
But even if you do not take the syringe yourself, so-called cosmetic corrections can be dangerous. For example, the Consumer Protection Center of North Rhine-Westphalia warned several years ago, „That all operations are always associated with health, sometimes considerable risks“ are. In contrast to reconstructive or plastic surgery operations, which involve restoring the body, for example after accidents, these cosmetic operations are usually not „medically necessary“. Therefore, the health risk of the operations according to the Consumer Protection Center is considered unnecessary. (Ad)
