Research for holistic micronutrient therapies will be funded

The Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) receives a four-year grant from the Foundation for Micronutrients - Prevention, Health, Quality of Life and initiates a foundation professorship for sports, nutrition and regulatory medicine. In this way, on the one hand, the research fields of the private, state-recognized FHM are to be expanded. On the other hand, it is about the development of new bachelor's and master's programs.
The foundation has emerged from SALUTO. Professor Elmar Wienecke (Foundation Chairman, Managing Partner at SALUTO): "Since 1994, we have been dealing with sports, nutrition and regulatory medicine as a competence center for health and fitness in Germany. Our know-how in these areas will be included in the new B.A. Medical Sports & Health Management, which will start in October 2015 at the FHM. In addition, we will promote scientific research on sport, nutrition and regulatory medicine and, together with the FHM, initiate the development of Master's and Bachelor's degrees in this field of health, sports and nutrition. "
For example, an extra-occupational Master's program is planned for the coming year, aimed at physicians, physiotherapists, pharmacists, nutritionists and sports scientists. The knowledge transfer of a holistic therapy (among other things micronutrient therapy) stands here in the center. Wienecke receives u.a. Support from the doctor of the US national football team med. Kurt Mosetter. He is also the founder of myoreflex therapy and the ZiT Center for Interdisciplinary Therapies in Konstanz. Successfully working Prof. Wienecke and Dr. med. Mosetter together on mentioned topics. (Pm)
