Fascial Distortion Model: International Course in Tokyo
10.02.2011
In Tokyo, from tomorrow, Friday to Sunday, an international course on the fascistic distortion model (FDM) with Marjorie Kasten, P.T. and Keisuke Tanaka FDM. O. instead. Among other things, the seminar serves to improve the networking of FDM therapists worldwide, as the FDM concept by Stephen Typaldos spreads at a rapid pace.
In addition to networking, US-American Marjorie Kasten presents her specific methods of inversion therapy. Inversion therapy is a part of the fascial distortion model that proceeds from a release of a three-dimensional deformation of the near-joint folding facets by stretching. Marjorie Kasten is a direct student and co-worker of the founder of the FDM, dr. Stephen Typaldos D.O. who died in 2006 at the age of 59. Kasten specializes in resolving these deformations of fascia using gym balls or inversion devices and will share her knowledge of years of field experience in Tokyo. Next to her, a direct Japanese student of Typaldos, Keisuke Tanaka, will give an introduction to the fascial distortion model.
In addition to a large delegation from Germany, participants from the USA are also expected from abroad. In addition to Tanaka, the organization is also responsible for FDM practitioner and co-founder and vice-president of the Asian FDM Association FAA (FDM Asia Association) Kohei Iwata. In addition to the seminars, the collegial exchange and networking of the worldwide FDM community is part of the program of this International Course.
As of May 2011, there were also special FDM courses for sports therapists with the physiotherapist Klaus Eder, who acted as head supervisor of various Olympic Games and also already supervised the German national football team, and dr. Georg Harrer from Vienna, the spread of the FDM seems to be making great strides.
In the meantime courses are offered in Europe that are not geared to the criteria of the European FDM Association. Therefore, a networking and definition of internal quality standards must be carried out as soon as possible, which stands for a continuity of the work done so far and offers transparency for future FDM interested parties. In this context, the International FDM Congress will be held in Vienna in August, hosted by the European Federation of FDM (EFDMA). In addition to Kasten and Tanaka, they will also speak about related experts such as the French hand surgeon Dr. med. Jean Claude Guimberteau, who has taken pictures of fascia under motion on the living. (Tf)
