When young adults embark on a training course that does not suit them, it often has far-reaching consequences and often causes high costs. Most of those affected are very insecure, explains Martin Neumann of the professional psychology service of the employment agencies Munich, Rosenheim, Weilheim and Freising in an interview with the news agency „dpa“.
Inform early about training and use career counseling
After a discontinued education many young adults do not know at all what they want to do professionally. In addition, the pressure is that they have to do it next time, according to Neumann very large. The expert therefore advises to tackle the subject of career choice as early as possible and to take it seriously. There are numerous offers of help such as career guidance from the employment agencies and the craft and industry and commerce chambers.
Also on the Internet a variety of counseling services can be found. Meanwhile, coaches also offer career guidance specifically for the target group of school leavers. In group workshops or individual consultations, the young adults are supported in their career choices. These offers, however, in contrast to the advice of the Employment Agency or the chambers charged.
The Employment Agency can be reached free of charge via the hotline 0800/45 555 00 for appointments for vocational guidance. (Ag)
