Erasco pork chops recalled for splinters of glass
According to individual findings of glass splinters, it can not be ruled out that pieces of glass will also be found in the Erasco tray menu "Pork chops in mushroom sauce with red cabbage and spaetzle", warns the manufacturer Continental Foods. As a precaution, the product will therefore be recalled throughout Germany. Consumption is strongly discouraged.
"This recall is purely precautionary, in the sense of preventive consumer protection, because it can not be ruled out on the basis of single finds that could be in the red cabbage compartment of the product small pieces of glass", the message from the manufacturer. The product concerned is only batch number L468 1412M1 and the best before date 06.2018. Customers who have purchased the product can also return it without presenting the receipt in the shops. The purchase price will be refunded.

In view of the finding of the pieces of glass in the product, Continental Foods asks consumers not to consume the Erasco tray menu "Pork Chops in Forest Mushroom Sauce with Red Cabbage and Spaetzle" with the mentioned batch number. The lot number is on the left side tab. The pig sliced was delivered nationwide. All other Erasco products or other lot numbers of the above product are not affected.
The manufacturer has set up a free consumer hotline at 0800/5650004. Continental Foods regrets "the inconvenience caused to consumers from the precautionary recall," the company said. However, product safety and quality are top priority. (Fp)
