Electroacupuncture effective in dysmenorrhea
07/23/2014
Study: Electroacupuncture with dysmenorrhea: Electroacupuncture can easily relieve the pain of primary dysmenorrhea. This is the conclusion of a study from China.
The scientists from Beijing included 501 patients in their randomized study. In doing so, they nipped the acupuncture point SP 6, which is also known as MP 6 and under the name Sanyinjiao, to reduce the symptoms of dysmenorrhea.
Although there was a pain-relieving effect of acupuncture, it was not statistically significant. The researchers therefore recommend not just one single acupuncture point in daily practice, but always several. The study can be found HERE. (Pm)
