Sporting health insured may soon be happy. A survey of the news magazine „Focus“ According to the statutory health insurance in Germany, their sports activities are expanding strongly.

Back school and physiotherapy are standard
The results of the survey of the 134 health insurances showed that already 72 of them offer significantly more than the statutory standard such as back training or physiotherapy. For example, after a trapped sciatic nerve, which is usually triggered by a herniated disc, often prescribed physiotherapy. The health insurance funds were asked about their sports offers and services.

Grants for aquagym and yoga
The billion-dollar surpluses that have accumulated the health insurance, are the cause of the expansion of capacity. So subsidize the coffers, loud „Focus“, now sports courses from aqua gymnastics to Pilates exercises to yoga worth up to 500 euros per year per insured person. Four funds would promote such courses indefinitely. Hundreds of euros will also be used to support sports trips or sports medicine examinations to find the optimum sport for everyone. Rewards for the insured give it from many cash registers also for the attainment of different sport badges, as in the athletics or with the swimming.
