A diet can also be unhealthy
With a weight loss, the concentration of harmful substances in the body increases. A study showed that the concentration of chemicals, including the carcinogenic pollutants, increases as people lose weight.
(08.09.2010) Basically, a decrease in weight makes sense when people are overweight. Because if you are overweight, the risk also rises. for cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. But a weight loss can also have negative consequences. That at least reports the "International Journal of Obesity".
As people lose body mass during a diet, so does the concentration of persistent chemicals in the body. In particular, the researchers name the dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which are considered carcinogenic. By contrast, when people gain weight, so does the concentration of chemical substances. This is because the body stores the pollutants in the adipose tissue. If those affected lose weight, the carcinogenic substances in the blood are released. Interesting in this context is also that a continuous weight loss over a course of ten years is more harmful in this context, than an entertaining weight reduction over the course of a year.
It is not clear in what context the history of the patient plays a role and which environmental factors come to it. Similar to bisphenol-A, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are used as plasticizers by industry. Not only does PCB benefit from cancer, it is also responsible for growth and reproductive problems. So it should be noted that not the diet as such is negative for the human organism, but the chemical substances used in many products. (Sb)
