One fifth of German drivers flirt in traffic

One fifth of German drivers flirt in traffic / Health News
In the spring months, the desire for flirting increases. Around 20 percent of Germans use road traffic as a flea market and can thus be distracted from driving, as a recent survey by the car direct insurer DA Direkt proves. The "strong" sex is clearly flirtatious at the wheel: A quarter of men, but only 15 percent of women claim to relax the car by a flirtation.

With the warmer temperatures also the spring feelings increase and the desire for flirting increases. Not only bars, pubs and cafes are common places to initiate potential contacts. More and more people are also using the car to contact them. A survey by YouGov on behalf of DA Direkt revealed that a fifth of German motorists are not averse to flirting while driving. One-tenth makes his passengers happy eyes, others focus rather on the other motorists (9 percent) or pedestrians (5 percent). However, flirting with bicycle, bus or truck drivers is not very popular on Germany's roads. Hardly anyone risks a flirt here (between 0 and 1 percent).

But even if it does not come to a flirt, attractive passers-by draw attention to themselves: After all, 14 percent of German motorists are distracted by good-looking pedestrians. Here, too, the Y chromosome is in the lead: More than three times as many men (22 percent) as women (6 percent) lose their heads in attractive passers-by.
