Chinese medicine improves heart disease
Chinese medicine improves symptoms of heart disease and can prevent serious consequences

Coronary heart disease is one of the most common diseases and has been leading the cause of death statistics in Germany with 42 percent for years. Deposits in the vessel walls cause circulatory disorders and restrict the supply of the heart with oxygen-rich blood and energy-supplying nutrients. Typical symptoms such as chest pain, pressure and tightness behind the sternum during exercise lead to the symptoms of cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure or in the worst case to heart attack. In contrast to conventional medicine, which simply tries to manage the calcification of the arterial vessels with drugs as well as possible, Chinese medicine offers gentle alternatives to stop the progression of heart disease and to avoid life-threatening sequelae.
Dr. Christian Schmincke, Head of the Clinic at the Steigerwald, general practitioner and TCM expert, knows how Chinese medicine helps with circulatory disorders: „The Chinese therapy approaches are based on the so-called Tan concept.“ Tan contains all the waste products that accumulate in the body over the years. „Not degraded and excreted, these unwanted substances tend to become inflamed and affect the blood circulation in the tissue.“ Unhealthy eating, overweight, lack of exercise and constant tension lead to a vicious circle, which causes an ever-increasing accumulation of pathogenic substances. With the help of Chinese drug formulations, it is possible to dissolve these inflammatory slags, to transfer them into the circulation and to excrete them via suitable mucosal systems such as intestines, bronchi or nasal sinuses. Thus, in calcifying diseases, purification processes are activated and the metabolic management of the organism is rearranged.
Sage root in circulatory disorders
„For example, Chinese sage root - a close relative of European sage - promotes blood purifica- tion in small vessels with its clarifying effect and dissolves blood congestion. For circulatory disorders such as arteriosclerosis Sage root therefore plays an important role“, knows Dr. Schmincke from years of experience. „In addition, sage needs other suitable formula partners to develop its specific effects.“ However, the individual composition of herbal ingredients belongs in the hands of an expert. They determine the dosage and regular adjustment, so that the formula is not overwhelming the patient, but sufficient to trigger the tan diversion. Patients then take the Chinese medicines throughout the day in the form of a boiled decoction - the so-called decoction.
In addition to the medicinal therapy, acupuncture is used. Targeted acupuncture needles reduce the release of inflammatory agents. Qi Gong and gentle body therapies also release tension, rebalance the system and strengthen the body's function of clarifying. At the same time, a vegetarian diet with a careful selection of foods supports the relief of the organism: Vegetable-rich foods and the greatest possible abstinence from alcohol as well as the avoidance of coffee and nicotine make the diet easier „Tan“-Expulsion, according to the expert.
