Chinese medicine helps with cardiovascular diseases
"Blood is a very special juice" - that's the name of Faust. The approximately five to six liters of blood, which pumps the heart constantly through the body, supply all organs with nutrients and oxygen. In addition, the removal of waste materials will be provided. If this streaming is obstructed, the whole organism suffers. Statisticians count 280,000 heart attacks in Germany every year. Almost as many people suffer a stroke each year.
For prevention or treatment are funds from the pharmacy used to reduce high blood pressure or cholesterol, dilute the blood or stabilize the psyche. They all have proven to save lives. But, in addition to risks and side effects, they still have a horse's foot: they make it easier for those affected to continue as before. A therapy method that positively influences the physical development and at the same time also conveys self-awareness is Chinese medicine. It achieves good results in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases by the drug therapy by decoctions of medicinal plant recipes, acupuncture, meridian-related massage techniques and other body therapies. Qi Gong, nutritional education and expert nursing and psychotherapeutic care are also important building blocks.
Deposits in the arteries can be released
An important aspect of therapy according to Chinese principles is the tendency of the blood to form deposits. "Chinese medicine speaks of the tendency to deposit internal mucus called Chinese tan" Christian Schmincke, expert in Chinese medicine and director of the clinic at the Steigerwald. The conventional medicine also causes deposits in the vessels, but calls these "plaques".
"The Chinese drug therapy is able by various formulations to reverse the process of arterial calcification a good deal," clarifies the expert. However, the treatment takes time and demands a lot from the patient. But it also works: "For example, a large part of the high-pressure patients experience a noticeable relief of the increased blood pressure values after taking the prescriptions and can reduce the dose of the medications they are taking or completely dispense with these remedies," Schmincke.
Adjust tension inside and outside
It is common knowledge that blood vessel wear can be prevented by proper and moderate nutrition, adequate exercise, avoidance of stress and abstinence from smoking. But only a few manage to implement these rules. Therefore, the second important treatment goal is to motivate the patient to change his habits. Often, cardiovascular problems affect people who over-define themselves and neglect all other areas of life.
"From a therapeutic point of view, it's about adapting people's overdeveloped performance motivation to the limited physiological potential of their cardiovascular system," notes Dr. med. Schmincke stuck. Nevertheless, good intentions alone are not enough. Changes must be made at the level of the autonomic nervous system. For this purpose, Chinese medicine acupuncture, body therapies, psychotherapeutic discussions and certain drug formulations are available. (Pm)
