Hypertension due to office noise
Hypertension can be caused by noise in the open-plan office.

Continuous noise pollution in the open-plan office can lead to health problems. For example, noise sources such as talking to colleagues, ringing phones, or the sound of printers can trigger hypertension or stomach discomfort: „For employees, the noise level can sometimes be so stressful that they are tense, cause stomach discomfort or hypertension“, says Michael Nasterlack of the German Society for Occupational Medicine and Environmental Medicine to the dpa.
Consideration reduces stress
Therefore, it is important to make clear arrangements for behavior in the office, also because e.g. Noise nuisance from discussions with colleagues would be perceived as avoidable and thus reckless. Thus it is important "that such discussions take place in separate offices, the coffee kitchen or outside". Where this is not possible, at least care should be taken to keep the noise level as low as possible.
On the other hand, the noise pollution caused by printers, faxes or telephones can not be avoided. They need to arrange themselves with them. If you can not do that and still suffer from hypertension, you can help yourself with home remedies. For example, Mist tea for hypertension. (Jp)
