Parents pay attention when filling the school bag apparently not on a healthy diet. This resulted in a representative survey of the market research institute Promio.net on behalf of the internet portal deals.com. Rather, sweets, therefore, especially in the Schultüten.

Almost all parents put sweets in the school bag
Eighty-six percent of parents surveyed want to make friends with sweeties on the day of school enrollment. Crayons, pencil cases and other components of school equipment are used by 74 percent of the survey participants in the school bag. Only 23 percent want to lay fruit.

The Dentistry Chamber Schleswig-Holstein informs, what should go into the school bag and what not. „Sugary is by no means a part of it, after all, sugar is the biggest enemy of all children's teeth. Anyone who would like to give their child a sweet treat, however, can offer alternatives from the tooth-friendly product range, "explains Dr. Martina Walther, board member of the Schleswig-Holstein Board of Dentists, saying that these products are made with sugar substitutes and in no way caused tooth decay to fruit, nuts, utensils for everyday school life, games, CDs for children or musical instruments in the school bag.

Almost half of the parents make the school bag themselves
The survey also showed that 46 percent of the surveyed parents want to make the school bag themselves. By contrast, 57 percent swear by a purchased model. Overall, almost all survey respondents (97 percent) said they would give their children a school bag to start school. A total of 518 parents whose children are enrolled this year took part in the survey. (Ag)
