Listlessness in the job Better to go to the doctor

If workers suffer from lack of energy longer, they should consult a doctor. This can sometimes clarify whether possibly physical causes behind it. Often it already helps if you "downshift".
When getting up in the morning is difficult
Listlessness is normal now and then. This is what the vice-president of the Association of Plant and Factory Physicians, Anette Wahl-Wachendorff, says, according to a news agency dpa. It does not matter if it's hard to get up in the morning or if it's horrible on Mondays to get to work: workers who notice an unmotivated behavior in themselves should first try to downshift. This can mean, for example, that working people once sleep well or take time in an evening for themselves. According to experts, sometimes relaxation exercises like yoga can help to switch off from the stress of work.
For prolonged listlessness to the doctor
However, even after two weeks - despite the changed behavior - there is no improvement to be noticed, a doctor should be consulted. The physician can first clarify whether any physical causes behind the listlessness. Possible triggers could be, for example, an iron deficiency or even a malignant disease such as a tumor. Overweight or obesity as well as severe fatigue and exhaustion are conceivable causes. But if there are no physical triggers, depression may be the cause. In that case, the doctor then gives tips on how to deal with it and, if necessary, refers the patient to a therapist. (Ad)
