Allergy risk IKEA extends recall of chocolate
Yesterday it was said that IKEA customers who got allergic reactions from the nuts they contained by consuming "Choklad Mörk 60% and 70%" should refrain from further consumption and return the chocolate to retail for a refund of the purchase price. Now, however, the Swedish group is expanding the recall. Six other products were affected, according to the press department of the company.

IKEA points out to customers who have purchased one or more of the affected IKEA chocolate products that these products are not suitable for people who are allergic or sensitive to hazelnuts and / or almonds. That's why IKEA is calling the products back.
IKEA extends the already ongoing chocolate recall to six other products. The chocolate products are not suitable for people with a hazelnut and / or almond intolerance or allergy.
Since hazelnuts and almonds have been found frequently and not only occasionally in the six chocolate products, these are definitely not suitable for consumption by persons allergic or sensitive to these allergens. The product information does not show the content of hazelnuts and almonds clearly enough. On the label is only "Can ... contain" noted. This may possibly be misleading to the consumer and therefore interpreted as non-legislative in some markets. Due to the high IKEA safety and quality standards, we have decided to recall the affected products worldwide, regardless of the different legislation in the markets. Affected are all expiration dates.
The products can be safely consumed by anyone who does not respond to hazelnuts and / or almonds sensitive or allergic. IKEA is not aware of any incidents related to the six products.
